The Arts & Humanities in Health & Medicine (AHHM) program at the University of Alberta, together with many other supportive sponsors, would like to invite you to experience Belonging: Exploring Healthcare Needs of New Canadians Through Theatre. The event focuses on improving healthcare for immigrants and refugees by providing a space for collectively exploring and navigating issues of language and cultural barriers between healthcare providers and new Canadians.
Directed by David Diamond and performed by a cast of immigrants, refugees, and healthcare providers, the event will be a forum theatre performance where audience members will have the opportunity to come up and engage in the live play to navigate real issues in stories curated by the community.
