ATI Director Dr. Lori West part of Canadian Glycomics Network panel

ATI Director Dr. Lori West will be part of a panel discussion on the study of sugars in biological processes, and its impact on human health in Alberta and Canada. Author and former Discovery Channel host Jay Ingram will lead a panel discussion with Dr. Mona Nemer, Canada Chief Science Advisor, on why sugars are important in treating diseases, including infectious diseases and cancers. The panel will also discuss current Alberta and national success stories and what the Canadian Glycomics Network is doing to solve human health issues. This interactive session will be followed by a networking opportunity with visual displays depicting how the study of sugars impacts people’s quality of life.
