Bill C-223 (Canadian Organ Donor Registry Act) Debated in Parliament on June 13th
The private member’s bill C-223, which would establish the Canadian Organ Donor Registry and would coordinate and promote organ donation throughout Canada, was read for the second time in the House of Commons on June 13, 2016. A number of MPs spoke strongly in favour of the bill. Unfortunately, the House voted against sending the bill to the Standing Committee on Health.
