Invitation to the Genomic Exchange Community Symposia in Edmonton, May 2016

The geXc (Genomic Exchange Community) symposia series is excited to announce its next event, geXc Edmonton 2016, being held on May 5th, 2016 at the Edmonton Clinic Health Academy (ECHA 2-190), University of Alberta. D-MARK Biosciences is delighted to co-host this event with the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry. We would like to invite you to attend. Please see the attached poster for more information.

geXc is a grassroots initiative with an intent to improve Genomics through collaboration and innovation. Genomics holds great promise for advancing our understanding of all living organisms. Technological advancements in Genomics continue to come at alarming rate; there are numerous complexities to consider. For the uninitiated this can create confusion and make planning for an experiment difficult. In order to help demystify applications in Genomics, the geXc symposia series assembles leading experts, both academic and industry, to share their work and experiences in Genomics. The objective of this symposium is to provide a forum for sharing, learning, and networking. The symposium is open to anyone who is interested in or already using Genomics in their research or diagnostic programs. The symposium runs from 9am-3:30pm, and there is a poster competition (cash prizes!) and social from 3:30-6:30pm.

The geXc symposia series is now in its 4th year. We have attracted over 3000 attendees, and all of our events have been very well received. Due to the gracious contributions from the sponsors, this event is free to all attendees, and includes breakfast, lunch, coffee breaks, as well as drinks and snacks for the social. This year’s sponsors include D-MARK, Panasas, Roche, Thermofisher, Maverix, Bioo Scientific, Sage Science, and Delta Genomics. Attendance is free, however registration is required.
