Infectious Disease Conference at the U of A: Abstract Submission Now Open!

Abstract Submission

DEADLINE – The Abstract Submission Deadline is March 18, 2016.

REGISTRATION – Please note that you have to register before you can submit an abstract. Registration is now OPEN and FREE and this event fills quickly.

ELIGIBILITY – Abstract submission is open to scientists, clinicians, and trainees at the University of Alberta. External submissions can be considered upon request (gotte@ualberta.ca).

TRAINEES at all levels are highly encouraged to submit an abstract. Specifically, we encourage undergraduate students with research experience, graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and residents. Abstracts are selected for oral or poster presentations. The conference and especially the poster session provide excellent opportunities to discuss your data with experts and stakeholders in the field. You will find out who is interested in your work and why.

AWARDS for outstanding presentations will be presented during the closing remarks.

FORMAT – The abstract should not exceed 300 words (excluding title, authors and affiliations) in ‘Times 12’. Use a concise title that introduces the content of the abstract to a broad audience. The presenting author should be underlined. Please provide full first and last names and initial(s) for middle names of all authors. Affiliation(s) should include the department and institute or centre if applicable. For the body of the text, please provide background, methods and results, and a conclusion.

NOTIFICATION of acceptance and type of presentation will be send out by April 8, 2016
