CNTRP/Astellas Training Award Competition, due July 1, 2015

Enhancing Astellas’ sustained commitment to research and development within the transplant scientific community is the introduction of the 2015 CNTRP Astellas Training Award Competition.  The intention of this collaborative effort between Astellas and the CNTRP is to encourage the training and development of future researchers in the field of cell and organ donation and transplantation to improve long-term health outcomes and quality of life for transplant patients. Astellas will provide the funding for the Training Awards. The CNTRP Training and Career Development Platform (Training) committee will set guidelines for the competition, receive and adjudicate the applications.  The Canadian Liver Foundation, partner and supporter of the CNTRP, will provide financial administration for the Training Awards on behalf of the CNTRP and will disburse funds to the selected award recipient(s).
The CNTRP is now accepting applications for the CNTRP/Astellas Training Award Competition, due July 1, 2015.  This collaborative effort between Astellas Pharma Canada and the CNTRP is intended to encourage the training and development of future researchers in the field of cell and organ donation and transplantation to improve long-term health outcomes and quality of life for transplant patients.
Two (2) grants with a maximum value of $50,000 CDN will be awarded over a period of two years.  It is required that award recipients secure and demonstrate a commitment of matching funding to receive the award.
